Product description
Dynamic functional hand and forearm support with correcting hand deviation was developed for positioning treatment and immobilization of contractures of the wrist, radiocarpal joint and fingers.
The fitting of the Funcional Wrist Orthosis is obtained by sets of circumferential forearm tapes, wrist, palmar, distal and thumb strap. The product is equipped with soft padding provides comfort to the patient. The extensive regulation of the brace allows easy adjustment on forearm and wrist.
Dorsal band on fingers provides support for phalangeal area. The product is supplied with soft finger separator which prevents to fingers overlapping, anti-spasticity, relieves pain fingers and keep them in correct position.
Per customer request, the standard separator may be substituted for neurological separator which stabilizes each finger separately. Extra price.
The orthosis is made of innovative AirSanmed™.
AirSanmed™ isn’t elastic what provides excellent stabilization. The skin has contact with cotton terry with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate. There is semi-rigid perforated foam EVA inside that protect the skin against the metal splints influence. External side of the fabric is perforated medical laminate with antibacterial properties of Silver Zeolite. It provides long-term efficacy and prevents the most dangerous infectious microorganisms such as MRSA and E.coli. AirSanmed™ is in accordance with Health Minister`s ordinance of 3 November 2004 and Council Directive 93/42/EWG of 14 June 1993.
The forearm and hand supports malleability allows to be shaped easily according the doctors recommendations.
The Functional Wrist support allows the regulation of the angle of radial or/ ulnar deviation of the hand. The adjustment is made by Allen Key provided with the product.
The construction of frame is made of high plasticity alloy of aluminum covered by sweat-resistant powder coating.
The structure and used materials help to relive the carpal tunnel syndrome.
In addition, for this brace you can purchase special neuro-rheumathological fingers separator. It provides proper position of fingers and maintains optimal abduction of the proximal phalanxes in case of neurological or rheumatological disorders. When the spasticity occurs, the separator prevents the fingers against the excessive “squeezing”. In case of Swan-Neck Deformity in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), the device construction with special fastening, correct the fingers from ulnar to neutral position. Maintaining of the optimal neutral hand position allows to stop the process of neurological or degeneration diseases.
