WHAT IS CERVICAL SPINE ABRASION?
The abrasion appears as a result of a direct injury, e.g. while playing football on a school pitch. After the injury, a child can feel pain and the range of movement of a neck is limited. A swelling caused by a sudden effusion may also appear.
The treatment of neck injury involves pharmacological treatment, exercises of Neck muscles and its immobilization in a special collar EB-KM.
HOW DOES PEDIATRIC CERVICAL COLLAR EB-KM WORK?
Our soft pediatric cervical collar EB-KM is a perfect solution to immobilize cervical spine. The collar keeps neck in a neutral position providing an ideal conditions for treatment. It is made of a high quality fabrics that are friendly for patient body and ensure skin ventilation.
The internal part of the collar, on which jawbone is placed, is made of soft foam that provides offloading and stabilization of intervertebral discs and neck muscles. The external part of the product is covered by 2 kinds of fabrics. The grey lycra has a smooth construction. Thanks to that, no additional material that can cause discomfort. The upper part of the collar EB-KM is made of a blue cotton that provides ventilation to skin. This material is extremely soft and velvet. As a result, a child can feel the high comfort while using our product.
Our pediatric collar EB-KM has an open construction and anatomic shape. Thanks to such a construction, the collar provides a good stabilization for jawbone and offloading for intervertebral joint. Additionally, the wide Velcro fastening regulates the circumference of the collar. Thanks to that, a child can easily put the product on and off depending on the doctor’s request.
